When LADA has no more hope: 5 models that will revive forgotten classics

BMW is preparing a new generation electric i3 on the Neue Klasse architecture. Various versions are expected, including a more powerful one, with production starting in the second half of 2026. On the other end of the trend, there is the potential return of the Infiniti Q50 with rear-wheel drive, manual transmission, and a twin-turbo V6 with up to 450 hp, possibly by 2027. Kia EV4 is meant to fill the niche of relatively affordable electric sedans, with two batteries, a range of up to 520 km, and fast charging in about 29 minutes. The launch of the model has been delayed due to weak demand. The new Lexus ES, on the other hand, showcases a new normality without a purely gasoline version, featuring hybrid versions ES 350h and electric versions ES 350e/500e, with ranges of up to 480 km and acceleration of about 5.4 seconds to 97 km/h. Sales are expected to start in March 2026. The fifth point is a possible rear-wheel drive electric sedan from Ford, which has not been confirmed, but Ford’s CEO has previously mentioned the prospect of an inexpensive RWD electric sedan, with designs featuring ‘Mustang’ motifs. If the project gets the green light, it will give the segment another strong reason to bring back interest in the classic body style.
