WHO Calls for Investigation into Deadly Gaza Nasir Hospital Airstrikes

The Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, took to social media to state that the airstrikes resulted in at least 20 deaths, including 4 healthcare workers and 5 journalists, with 50 others injured, including critical patients. Tedros pointed out, ‘The people of Gaza are facing a threat of starvation, and the already limited medical services are paralyzed due to the ongoing attacks. We must shout out loud: stop the attacks on medical facilities. Ceasefire now.’ He mentioned that the main hospital building was damaged in the airstrikes, which housed the emergency department, inpatient wards, and surgical rooms, with the emergency evacuation stairs also being destroyed.
