Experts at SPEEDME.RU have compiled a selection of inexpensive cars capable of confidently navigating through the snow-covered roads of Russia during winter. The list includes models with high ground clearance and proven reliability. Unsurprisingly, the leader is the LADA Niva Legend, with a ground clearance of 220mm and permanent all-wheel drive. Following closely is the more comfortable Niva Travel, also with a 220mm ground clearance and improved sound insulation. The UAZ Patriot offers a body-on-frame construction and the option of selectable all-wheel drive, remaining the most affordable among ‘true’ SUVs.
