Woman in Ethiopia’s Capital Seeks to Care for Abandoned Dogs

ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia – In the midst of the sounds of rescued dogs whimpering, there is a gentle whistle that stands out. That whistle belongs to Feven Melese, a young woman with a mission to help the numerous abandoned dogs roaming the streets of Ethiopia’s capital, Addis Ababa. Melese, a 29-year-old music graduate, is dedicated to providing support and care for these neglected animals. Her passion for animals has led her to take action in a city where stray dogs often struggle to survive on their own.
