The prison guard Rodrigo Caldas, 45, is the prime suspect in the murder of his partner, Priscila Azevedo Mundim, in the early hours of Saturday (16), in the Padre Eustáquio neighborhood, Northwest region of Belo Horizonte. After committing the crime, the man reportedly tried to take his own life. The couple had been together for about five months. Priscilla was found dead by the police. Rodrigo, on the other hand, was taken to João XXIII Hospital after attempting to take his own life with a stab to the abdomen. Priscila left behind two children from another relationship, a 22-year-old son and an 11-year-old daughter.
