According to the Indonesian Deputy Minister of Health, the younger generation, including Gen Z, is already experiencing obesity. During an interview with Tribun Network Director of News Febby Mahendra Putra in Jakarta, Wamen Dante mentioned the proven scientific evidence that a healthy lifestyle can prevent prediabetes from developing into diabetes, with higher effectiveness than medication interventions. Studies, such as the Diabetes Prevention Program Study, show that healthy lifestyle interventions can reduce the risk of diabetes development by 52% over three years. Additionally, lifestyle modifications have shown greater success in reducing risks compared to medication interventions.
