In the WPL 2026, Indian star all-rounder Deepthi Sharma emerged as the most expensive player in the auction, going for ₹3.2 crores with the ‘Right to Match’ card. This made her the second most expensive player in WPL auction history. She is now the second-highest-paid Indian player in WPL history, earning over 20 lakh more than her previous bid. Mumbai Indians secured New Zealand star all-rounder Amelia Kerr for ₹3 crores. Kerr, who was part of the Mumbai team that won the IPL titles in 2023 and 2025, was also the leading wicket-taker last season.
