On the afternoon of August 30, Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Egyptian Prime Minister Madbouli at the Tianjin Guesthouse, who is in China to attend the 2025 Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit. Xi Jinping pointed out that Egypt was the first Arab and African country to establish diplomatic relations with New China, and that Sino-Egyptian relations are currently at their best point in history. Next year, the two countries will celebrate the 70th anniversary of their diplomatic relations, and both sides should take this opportunity to advance bilateral relations towards the goal of building a community of shared future for China and Egypt in the new era, adding new impetus to China’s relations with the Arab world and Africa, as well as maintaining world peace and stability.
