According to the Xinjing Daily, the State Administration for Market Regulation has drafted the “Regulations on the Implementation of Food Safety Main Responsibility Supervision and Management for Food Sales Chain Enterprises (Draft for Soliciting Opinions)” recently, and it will be open for public comments from August 5 to September 4. This draft for soliciting opinions consists of 34 articles, focusing on clarifying the authority levels, risk prevention and control requirements, and legal responsibilities. For example, it details the requirements for the implementation of the “daily control, weekly inspection, monthly scheduling” system at the headquarters of food sales chain enterprises, requiring the headquarters to strengthen the management of employees, procurement, distribution, and promptly handle any issues discovered, improving the overall food safety management level.
