Yemen’s Houthi rebels released mariners who had been held since a July attack on the ship Eternity C in the Red Sea, where at least four people were killed in the incident. The Iranian-backed Houthis, known for targeting ships during conflicts, announced the release via their al-Masirah satellite news channel, stating that Oman had taken custody of the sailors. While Oman had not immediately confirmed the release, a Royal Oman Air Force jet was tracked leaving Yemeni airspace following the Houthi announcement. The release follows the Houthi claim that they rescued the men after they abandoned the damaged ship post-attack.
