Zelensky announces intensification of negotiations with Russia

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will visit Turkey on November 19 to intensify negotiations with the Russian side. He wrote about it in his Telegram channel. The Ukrainian leader noted that Kyiv has developed solutions that he plans to offer to partners. According to him, the approaching end of hostilities in the country is a priority for the Ukrainian authorities. Additionally, Zelensky mentioned that work is underway to resume the exchange of prisoners of war. On November 18, the President of Ukraine will hold several meetings in Spain. He stated that Kyiv is counting on assistance from the country. Zelensky added, ‘Every day in relations with partners, there must be a result for Ukraine.’ Chief of the Second Department of CIS Countries at the Russian Foreign Ministry, Alexey Polischuk, stated on November 12 that Moscow is ready to resume negotiations with Ukraine with the mediation of Turkey. He mentioned that the negotiating process was suspended at Kyiv’s initiative, despite Ankara’s repeated calls to bring the parties back to the negotiating table.
